Cricket uses a range of equipment for batting, bowling and fielding. The right gear helps improve performance and ensures player safety.


🏏 Cricket Bat

The bat is used by the batter to hit the ball.

• made from willow wood

• flat front surface for striking

• handle covered with a rubber grip


🔴 Cricket Ball

The cricket ball is used by the bowler.

• hard leather ball

• stitched seam for grip and movement

• typically red (Test) or white (limited overs)


🥅 Wickets (Stumps)

• 3 wooden stumps with 2 bails on top

• located at each end of the pitch

• used as the target for bowlers


🛡️ Protective Gear
