The 15th edition of the Big Bash League is finally here, with Australia’s biggest domestic cricket tournament set to light up the summer once again. The action begins this Sunday, and every Big Bash League match will be broadcast live and ad-break free on Fox Cricket, with streaming available on Kayo Sports, including 10 exclusive matches. Free-to-air viewers won’t miss out either, with Channel 7 and 7plus offering 34 matches live throughout the season.
Perth Stadium will once again open the season as last year’s finalists — the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers — renew their rivalry in front of what is expected to be a huge crowd. The following night, the Sydney Thunder head to Hobart in a grand final rematch against reigning champions the Hobart Hurricanes on December 16.
Fans are also in for a treat with several blockbuster derbies lined up. The Melbourne Stars vs Melbourne Renegades showdown returns to the MCG on January 4, followed by a second clash at Marvel Stadium on January 10.
Meanwhile, the Sydney derby will hit ENGIE Stadium on December 20, before shifting to the SCG on January 16.
As always, New Year’s Eve belongs to Adelaide, with the Strikers hosting the Brisbane Heat in what has become one of the signature fixtures of the BBL calendar. Boxing Day cricket also expands into the BBL this year, with both the Sixers and Scorchers hosting festive clashes.
